rCITI and UNSW Founders partner: grants to transport and smart cities startups

.

As cities expand and the push towards net zero intensifies, innovative solutions are crucial. Startups play a key role in turning cutting-edge research into real-world applications, especially in the transport, smart cities, and logistics sectors.

UNSW Founders has partnered with the UNSW Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI) to propel innovation in these areas. rCITI is sponsoring two $5,000 grants for startups joining the UNSW Founders Pre X program, aiming to facilitate significant advancements in how we live and move.

Successful applicants will gain more than just funding; rCITI offers in-kind support, including networking with local governments, assistance in securing POC trials, and potential access to state-of-the-art facilities like the TRACS lab.

The Pre X program is designed for early-stage startups, offering essential support, resources, and access to a broad mentor network. This initiative not only accelerates startup growth but also integrates them into a community primed for rapid innovation and market feedback.

Lucas Hakewill, Program Manager at UNSW Founders, said: “UNSW leads the way in smart cities, transport and logistics technology. This partnership with rCITI will support researchers and technologists creating ventures that solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.”

Apply for Pre X by April 5 to fuel your startup with leading expertise and support in transport innovation.
