Are you a UNSW Clubs & Society? Collaborate with Founders to host events, workshops, hackathons and experiences.

At Founders, we champion innovation and entrepreneurship in the UNSW community. This doesn't just mean startups, we're about empowering students with entrepreneurial skills to be the best they can!

About Collaborating with Founders

We support UNSW Student Clubs and Societies and events with elements of entrepreneurship, innovation, making and social enterprise. This may include but is not limited to entrepreneurial workshops, presentation showcases, networking nights and making events.

Please note that we require a minimum of 4 weeks before your event date. This is to ensure we are able to a plan and resource your event. The more notice provided, the greater the likelihood we are able to accomodate your event. Feel free to use placeholder dates and times if you are yet determine a final date.

  • Below are the requirements for collaboration with UNSW Founders. All assets will be provided in your event confirmation.

    • Inclusion of Founders branding on attached media (marketing, slides etc.).

    • Inclusion of the Founders promotional video during the event.

    • Inclusion of Founders Newsletter QR code.

    • Provide a list of zIDs of all event attendees post-event.

 Our Spaces

Are you looking for a space for your next event? Collaborate with us to host your event in our range of spaces. We have hosted networking events, symposiums, hackathons, workshops and many more.

  • MCIC Event Space

    This is a flexible presentation, workshop, and event space. It features elevated podium/stage, lectern, large projectors with microphone PA system and stackable seats. This space can be combined with the MCIC Design Space to increase capacity.

  • MCIC Design Space

    This is a flexible teaching, workshop, and project space to facilitate collaborative experiences. It feature large tables, portable couches, elevated screens with separate PA system and portable whiteboards.

  • MCIC Makerspace

    This is a training, prototyping and project space. It features makerspace tools, machinery and more. Use of the makerspace requires all attendees to have a Makerspace Safety Induction Badge, unless under special and limited circumstances.

  • Founders Place

    This space is located on Level 1 of the Hilmer Building (E10), This is a flexible presentation, teaching, workshop, and project space. It features a projector, tables, stackable chairs.

Other Offerings

Aside from hosting events, we can work with you to design, deliver and/or advertise your event. Find our offerings below.

  • Entrepreneurial Workshops

    Our suite of workshops develop entrepreneurial and professional skills. This includes Design Thinking (ideation/creativity), Rapid Prototyping (hardware/software/service), Pitching/Public Speaking and Lean Canvas (business plan) workshops.

  • Technical Workshops

    These practical skills development workshops include Makerspace Safety Induction, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Arduino (Robotics) and Digital Fabrication (3D Printing & Laser Cutting) and Vector Art for Laser. Upon completion participants earn a UNSW Making Badge.

  • Making Workshops

    In our making workshops, participants make, create and take something home with them. Past workshops have included leather-making, trophies (for competition awards), laser cut jewellery/pins.

  • Advertise in our Newsletter
